Principal Pride

Todd got Principal Pride on Friday. It is an award picked by the teachers and given out at an assembly. They can earn it for Achievement, Citizenship, Improvement and Effort.
Todd got his for Citizenship and Improvement.
This is our principal at Arcadia Elementary, Bonnie Bantis. She calls the students her kids-she didn't have any of her own- and knows each of them by name.

Todd and Jeff. Jeff is at all the assemblies as the Yokes representative. They are in partenership with Arcadia so they supply prizes and an Arcadia 3-ring binder. The kids love Mr. Whittle.

Jeff having way to much fun with Todd!

Arcadia Field Day

Today was field day at Arcadia Elementary. Todd ran the 4 x 1 relay and the 4 x 1 mile. He did great. Looks like we may have another runner in the family. It was a very windy day. I kept thinking of Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. At times I felt like I was going to blow away.
This is Todd's relay team. Joey, Dakota, Jayton and Todd.

What a week!

This has been a very full week. Amanda went to a Laser Tag lockout with DECA. They were there from 10 pm to 7am. She spent the next two days trying to catch some sleep. Jeff and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary. We had a pleasant meal at Chili's. Our anniversary was on the 5th but it took us a week just to get away. This is the time of year that I am very busy with sub work. On Sunday, Mother's Day, we went to Jeff's parents to see Nathan's new baby. This is their fourth child and first son. He is adorable. We rounded out Mother's Day by an emergency trip to the hospital. Jeff and I were there until 3 in the morning. Jeff went to a specialist on Monday and has an appointment for a CAT Scan on Friday. As soon as they figure out what is wrong with him I will let you know. On Monday Jeff and I went to Nathan (Cluff's) to visit with them and Jake and Lisa. It was great visiting with them. You've got some great kids, Robert. I've just been overjoyed to have so much family visit. My van was also towed away Sunday because it was leaking gas. I got it back tonight. Amanda made JR High School Championships in track today. She is also leaving for Seattle tomorrow. The top 10% of her class is going on a three day trip. They will visit UW and CWU campuses. They are going into downtown Seattle, will ride the Monorail, visit the Museum of Flight and the Aviation Learning Center, and are touring Safeco field and the dugout store and going to a Mariners game.

Dustin and Linda Dugger

Last week we got a surprise visit from my nephew, Dustin, and his family. This is Dustin and Linda Dugger and their cute little boy, Skylar. Skylar loved Rocky and had fun riding on him.

Amanda's Track Meet

I was amazed that Amanda did this event.

They do three throws. I got the last one on video.

That loud noise on the video is the wind!

Run as Fast as You Can

Amanda had a track meet on Wednesday. It was cold, and windy, and downright miserable. But Amanda came in third in this event. She runs the 1600 meter. The tall girl next to her is her bestfriend Lexi. Lexi came in second. A runner from Medical Lake got first.
Trying to keep warm before the race. She has spotted me with the camera.
And their off.
I think this was lap three.

Crossing the finish line.
