I Love Nature

One of the little quirks my mother gave me was this insatiable desire to take pictures of flowers.  So here are the pictures of flowers that I found on our travels.

This one got some "Ah Mom"s.  We had to stop for construction work and it was just sitting there on the side of the road so I opened the door and took a picture!

Settler's Day

Deer Park had their settler's day parade and fun at the park today.  Jeff helped man the school board booth after the parade. 

Zions National Monument

As part of the family reunion we went to Zions National Park.

Weeping Rock

The hike in the Narrows consisted of a lot of walking through the Virgin river.

It was very difficult to navigate through the river rocks.  Jeff, Kevin, Todd and I turned back.  Eric and Amanda went ahead with some of Jeff's siblings.  They didn't get back until 3 hours after we did.  I'm hoping to get some pictures of the kids from Ryan.

The water was very, very cold.  This was the deepest part of the river but it is also why I didn't let Jason and Brenda take the hike.
